Contrary to popular belief, constantly being connected with your phone does not make your relationships stronger. In fact, the Selfie Centered Life leads to isolation, and isolation leads to loneliness and boredom. And, it is in those times that we are most susceptible to sin. Jesus has a new lens that He asks us to wear. This lens leads to true connection and meaning. Come this Sunday and discover more about this lens.
The Worlds Lens: My Faith Is Private.
Some things are meant to stay private; others you cant help but go public. We will look again through Jesus' lens. He says, "Your faith is personal, but not private." Come and hear more what Jesus has to say.
ARE YOU READY TO FOCUS?
We will meet at the Zone at 5:00pm, on the 16th. Leave at 5:30pm.
We will be back to the Zone on Sunday, the 18th at 11:30am.
- Bring a Bible, toiletries, Bed Linens, pillow, Warm attire, A GOOD ATTITUDE.
- Food and snacks will be provided. However, you are welcome to bring some of your own.
Be praying that God does some mighty things in your life, this weekend.
Let's recap the weekend, and enjoy a Potluck Dinner, with a focus on Thanksgiving.
A potluck means you bring a "dish" to share. (Hint: it will be really cool if YOU, student, make it).
Zion Student Ministries will provide the meat.
- High School Girls bring a Vegetable dish (Mac & Cheese, mashed potatoes, Corn, Green Beans, etc.)
- High School Guys bring a side dish, as well.
- Middle School Girls bring a Dessert (brownies, cake, pie, cookies, ice cream, etc.)
- Middle School Guys bring drinks ( a 2 liter of your favorite soft drink, beverage)
If you mess up and bring dessert instead of a side, or drink, whatever... no worries. We may end up with coke and chips, but we will still be grateful.
Enjoy your time with family. And, remember it is Thanksgiving, NOT dead turkey day. List things you are thankful for.
